2016
Over the last few years it's become apparent we are now a nation divided into five distinct philosophies. In no particular order:
1. People who want the government to give them everything, no matter the cost or harm to others.
2. People who suffer from cognitive dissonance. That's when you have the understanding that bad things are happening but can't bring yourself to consciously admit it or act on it.
3. People with their heads up their asses, who only watch television shows about entertainment and celebrities, and can tell you who's boinking any third rate actor. They think Jon Stewart is a journalist but can't tell you where Delaware is, or when or where World War II took place.
4. People who are snout deep in the public spending trough and make their fortunes or careers by participating in political pay-back deals or government employee benefits and perks.
5. People who have correctly identified the problems, but don't know what can or should be done. They view recent politics, including the existing voter ID process as a bunch of crap. They can't stand to watch the nation fall apart led by self-entitled wealthy Demo-Nazi-Socialists and the self-entitled wealthy traditional Republican boobs who think they're still a meaningful part of the discussion.
The people in groups 2 and 5 will be the catalysts. They're the ones who primarily live in the center of the nation, comprise the backbone of the nation and are ridiculed or ignored in the "power centers".
Thankfully, many people who own guns are anti-violence. They bought them for hunting or self defense. Because of the circus that was the Obama presidency and the rise of socialist fascism since 2016, many more people bought and hold guns for the time when our nation's "leaders" can't come up with any more lies to tell the sheep and this great experiment of ours starts crumbling. PS: It just took the first step.
Since the coronation of Obama in 2008, they watch the executive branch of government disregard the Constitution on an almost daily basis. They watch the Senate fail in their responsibility to the nation. They watch the Justice Department file suits against companies and STATES as political payback for disagreeing with the government line. They watch the Justice Department selectively enforce laws. They watch their hard earned money get stolen from them and poured into the endless spending pit that is Washington cronyism. They watch freedom of religion disappear under the guise of universal health care. They watch Congress give themselves fat raises and perks while Social Security benefits are either frozen or go up minutely. They watch as the number of unemployed and those on welfare sky rocket while the "leaders" yammer at each other like baboons (apologies to baboons).
Does the "entitled class" (federal bureaucrats, politicians & media), really think their game will go on endlessly without consequence? We all know there are Americans out there who already understand it has to stop at some point. Since the ruling elite act like thugs, debate, discussion and compromise are no longer part of the scenario.
I just hope I'm not around when the poop finally hits the fan. At some point the people who are responsible for the decay of the nation will be FORCED to take responsibility. The question I would ask the socialists is this: If we stay on the current path, and a large segment of America finally decides revolution is warranted, then what? Will you try to call out the military to restore order and put down revolution? Would that be unintended consequences? Or is that actually where you want this to lead? There's a dangerous game being played and all of us need to pay attention.
