Random Thoughts on the 2016 Republican Presidential Candidates, the Republican "Leadership" and Why the Republican
Party Will Lose the Election.
I'm writing this after watching months of Republican presidential hopefuls throw their proverbial hats into the proverbial ring. The stupidity exhibited by the Repub Party is ubiquitous and astounding. The Republican "leadership" and members of Congress are so out of touch with their base it's incredible.
I finally realized in early 2015 that the only things the Republican Party was interested in were gaining and retaining power, NOT representing their voters. After landslide victories in 2012 & 2014, they've done worse than nothing. They've not challenged Obama on anything.
And worse, recently we saw Mitch "Harry Reid's Bitch" McConnell introduce a trade and banking bill, not allow discussion or amendments, and then vote against it! What the hell is that about? Does he think nobody's watching? These guys are clueless and spineless.
Does the "leadership" really think that going after Trump, Cruz and Paul will actually HELP one of the traditional candidates win? McCain and Boehner have been criticizing other Repubs who disagreed with them for years. And now they're doing it to their own candidates. Did I mention the GOP leaders are spineless and clueless? Hillary must be cackling all the way to her indictment...
What the hell are Lance Prius, McCain, Hatch, McConnell, Cornyn, Boehner, et al smoking? They can't figure out why Trump is leading the poles. They think that when he either drops or is forced out of the race (See Prius wanting candidates to pledge to stay in GOP.) we'll all just vote GOP to stop Hitlery? GUESS AGAIN BOYS. THOSE DAYS ARE OVER.
After struggling with my feelings about this for the last six months, it finally occurred to me. In the two most recent presidential elections, I voted AGAINST Obama, not FOR McCain or Romney.
And so I've decided, like I think many others have, that if the presidential candidate is another RINO or something similar, I'm not voting. I mean it's to the point where I can't tell who's a radical left, socialist, liberal Dem and a Republican...
The feeling I get from around the country is that GOP voters have had enough double talk. If the Repubs don't come up with an acceptable, conservative candidate, one of two things will happen and neither is good for the United States or the Republican Party:
1. A third party will form. OR
2. Independents and conservatives won't show up at the polls - president, senate or reps.
Lets start with some of the Rep candidates:
Trump: Dark horse, too new to rate. I might vote for this guy as a protest vote.
Rubio, Walker, Cruz: The only three I'd consider voting for. BUT the GOP hacks will elbow the radical left media out of the way to persecute these guys on every possible angle of every possible topic and just run them out of town. Then Graham, Christie, McConnell, Boehner, Prius and the gang will bitch because these guys "caused a split" within the party. You know you're not wanted when Lance Probiscus goes on MSLSD and criticizes you to the socialists.
Lindsey-No Nerve-Graham: This guy's a weenie of the first magnitude. So afraid of controversy that he once said the Repubs didn't want to be too assertive because "they didn't want to get blamed for anything". NEWS FLASH Lindsey! As a Republican, you're going to get blamed ANYWAY. Just ask Bush 2.
Jeb Bush: I have voted for my last Bush. You would think a nation of 300 million plus could find qualified candidates outside of the Clinton (ok, so Clinton isn't qualified) and Bush families. RINO. Look at what he stands for... He should be a Dem candidate. AND Boehner claims he convinced him to run for pres...
Ron Paul: Worse than a pre-World War II "America Firster". Ron, you're an idiot if you think an American president can IGNORE the strife in the rest of the world. Go back and read some history you smug little pea-brain.
Christie, Pataki: Once again, the wrong party (see Bush).
Rick Perry: His horse left the barn in 2014 and it wasn't pretty.
Carly Fiorina: Who? No REAL name recognition whose upside is that she can't be accused of sexism. Carly: Spend your money on a different hobby.
Ben Carson: Seems like a nice enough guy BUT no chance of winning. Based on how radical left socialists use personal attacks to smear the opposition, they'll attack and attack and attack him until the pressure will be too much. Hell, since he's not a traditional Repub, the GOP leaders may attack him first. Keep an eye on McCain and Graham.
Jindal, Huckabee, Kasich: Only known within their states. Won't make it to the later debates unless they car pool.
AND finally Jim Gilmore: The A-Train. An outstanding NBA center, but when did he get into politics? This guy isn't even known within Virginia.
